Mackenzie Rickman, CFP^®, Financial Advisor Associate

With 12 years of financial services experience, I am committed to helping individuals and businesses develop sound financial strategies. I add value not only through investment recommendation, but also most importantly, through superior service, thoughtful guidance, and the highest standard of professional integrity.

Originally from the South St. Louis area, I came to Columbia, Missouri, in 1995 to pursue a Business degree from the University of Missouri. I graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1999 with a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. After graduation, I started my career with Merrill Lynch, where I obtained my Series 7 and 63 securities licenses. I spent these years learning all aspects of the financial services industry - Operations, Customer Service, Investment Planning, and Investment Selection.   After six years with Merrill Lynch, I joined with Patt Stansberry's business at A.G. Edwards in a dual role as a Financial Advisor and a Registered Client Associate. I believe that our partnership allows us to provide a solid, balanced approach to investment planning that is second to none. 

In 2005, I earned my Certified Financial Planner™ certification to further my knowledge of the many factors that can affect your financial situation. To earn this certification, I had to complete an approved educational program, pass a rigorous examination, and meet experience requirements. I also adhere to a professional Code of Ethics and fulfill annual continuing education requirements to remain aware of current planning strategies and financial trends.

On a personal note, I am active in the community as a member of the Columbia Rotary South Club as well as the past president of the Columbia Multisport Club. I am an avid triathlete and marathon runner, with a passion for endurance sports. I have completed two Ironmans, five marathons, and seven Half Ironman races. I am currently training to complete several events in 2011. I love the park and trail system that Columbia offers right out my back door. I am also an avid Tiger Football Fan and never miss a home game!
