Patt Stansberry, CFP^®, Senior Vice President/Investments

With over 30 years as a Financial Advisor, I have helped clients through virtually every type of financial environment. I have learned much through the years, and I am confident in my team's approach to helping our client's pursue their goals.

Born in Moberly, Missouri, I moved to Columbia to attend the University of Missouri. In 1980, I graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. That year, I began my career as a financial advisor with Edward Jones. It was then that I discovered my passion for investment selection and helping others pursue their financial dreams.

In 1993, I opened the first Merrill Lynch branch in Mid Missouri. In 2001, I was presented with the opportunity to Co-Manage the local A.G. Edwards office. As my business continued to grow, I took on a partner, Mackenzie Rickman, to make sure that my clients received the best advice and service possible.

In 2005, I earned my Certified Financial Planner™ certification. This education program has further increased my knowledge of investment planning strategies. The stringent continuing education requirements keep me aware of planning issues and trends.  

In 2008, Mackenzie and I chose to move our business to Stifel Nicolaus. We believe this move was beneficial for both us and our clients. Stifel Nicolaus has the investment products of a large firm with a personal touch.

My passion lies in the process that I work through with my clients to pursue their goals and lifetime objectives. My relationships with my clients and their families is the most satisfying part of what I do. Many of my clients have trusted my advice for over 20 years and others have relationships that pass from one generation to another.

I have survived over 30 years in the financial industry with the help of my wife of 34 years, Cheryl. We enjoy traveling with our children, Emily and Greg. One of our favorite destinations is Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. My main hobby is golf and I enjoy the opportunity to play different courses throughout the U.S. I love music and rock concerts and most days have music playing in my office. I support my love of music and my hometown by providing scholarships for Moberly band members who cannot otherwise afford to play an instrument. As a former Moberly band member, I want to give all students the opportunity to pursue their musical interests!
